Shuffle Up & Deal!
Level 23: 30,000-60,000, 5,000 ante

Day 6 begins with the final 10 players battling for six seats at tomorrow's televised WPT Final Table. There are a few interesting storylines still in play, in addition to crowing a new WPT World Champion: Scotty Nguyen (currently first in chips) is attempting to become the second player in history (after Carlos Mortensen) to win both the WSOP Main Event and the WPT World Championship. A victory here would also move him past Jamie Gold into the #1 spot on the all-time money list. Justin Young and Bertrand "Elky" Grospellier are attempting to catch John Phan in the Season VII WPT Player of the Year race. Young needs a second-place finish to tie, and a first-place finish to win. Grospellier can tie with a fifth-place finish, and win with a fourth-place finish. Of course, if they both make the final table, the calculation gets a little more complicated as they'll be jockeying for the top spot. Everyone is seated and ready to go, so it's time to shuffle up and deal! Today begins with Level 24, and blinds at 40,000-80,000 with a 10,000 ante

Redistribution of Chips at Table #56

Level 12: 1,500-3,000, 400 ante

There were some big stacks at Table #56 at the start of the day, but during these first two levels, there has been a lot of chip redistribution. Take a look --

Mark Seif  -  370,000  (113,100)

The big blind folds, and Tran calls. The river card double-pairs the board with the J, and both players check. Mortensen shows KQ for a higher two pair, kings and jacks, and Tran mucks. Mortensen wins the pot. Both players went deep in this event two years ago, with Jimmy Tran finishing 10th and Carlos Mortensen going all the way to become the only player in history to win the two most prestigious poker tournaments -- the WSOP Main Event and the WPT World Championship. Over-Under on Allen Kessler's End-of-Day Stack: 85,000

Level 4: 200-400, 50 ante

We just found out that there is a large group of players with a prop bet going based on Allen Kessler's end-of-day chip count. Each player began with 100,000 in chips, and at the start of play the line was set at 85,000.

Barry Greenstein asked Allen how many chips he had right now, and Kessler said, "129,000." Barry, knowing what a tight player Allen is, laughed and said, "The unders are drawing dead."

Kathy Liebert is one of the players who took the over.

The turn is the Q. Carter bets 7,000 and takes down the pot. Allen Carter - 104,000

All in Dark at Table 57?
Level 1: 50-100, ante

Sammy Farha may have just a little too much gamble in him... Farha is in the nine seat at table 57 in the small blind. He tells everyone that he wants it to be folded around so he can move all in blind against Chau Giang. Giang seems more than ready to gamble with him and moves his chips past the bet line in front of him. With 100,000 stacks you might think that they're joking, but from the look of things, they're dead serious. Most players at the table agree that they will fold their hands if Sammy and Chau really want to do this. It actually looks like it might happen until a player under the gun (who had remained silent during this conversation at the table) limps into the pot. All bets are off after he enters the action and Nick Binger makes a raise to 750. Sammy decides not to move all in and instead calls the raise. Chau, no longer interested in the pot now that Sammy's not all in, folds his hand. The player under the gun reraises and Binger and Farha both call. The UTG player makes a large continuation bet after the flop and takes the hand. We'll keep a close watch on the table to see if this all in blind scenario with Sammy and Chau actually goes down. Table 57 Seat 1: Chau Giang Seat 3: Allen Carter Seat 4: Joe Tehan Seat 6: Nick Binger Seat 8: David Daneshgar Seat 9: Sammy Farha

Boris Becker's Aces Cracked Level 1: 50-100, ante Action folds around to the button who raises to 600. Justin "Boosted J" Smith calls from the small blind and Boris Becker calls from the big blind. The flop comes 10 7 2. Smith checks, Becker bets 1,550. The button folds and Smith calls. The turn is the 5 and Smith checks it over to Becker who bets 3,500. Smith calls again. The river brings the 2 and Smith checks for a third time. Becker makes a large bet of 11,000. Smith takes his time before raising to 37,000. Becker makes the call. Becker turns over A A but they're no good against the 10 10 of Smith for top full house. Justin "Boosted J" Smith - 143,900 Boris Becker - 54,000

Day 1b: Shuffle Up & Deal!
Level 1: 50-100, ante

The players are still filtering into the Fontana Lounge for Day 1b of the WPT World Championship, and we are expecting a much larger turnout than yesterday. The tournament clock currently shows 303 total players in the tournament (126 yesterday and 177 so far today), but that number hasn't changed in at least 20 minutes as players continue to register. With 100,000 in starting chips and opening blinds at 50-100, it's time to shuffle up and deal!

A Quick Ending to Day 1

Level 5: 300-600, 75 ante

With 20 minutes left in the last level of the day, the tournament clock is stopped and a player draws a card from a deck of 1-9 to determine how many more hands each table will play.

The player draws an ace, so each table will play just one more hand before bagging and tagging their chips. The players then have the option of a complimentary meal at Bellagio's buffet.

We will be scouring the field for official chip counts of the chip leaders, along with some of the bigger names. But the full list of chip counts won't be available until the casino releases them later tonight.

Saul raises to 32,000 and Deeb makes a large reraise that would put Saul all in. Saul tanks for a few minutes, trying to engage Deeb in conversation.
